I shut myself in my bathroom, which is the room in the house the boys enter least. For me Sneek Peak is totally not worth it unless I can solidly trust my results, so I took many precautions to keep things sterile. I knew I could never do the lancet version without worrying about contamination, but this method looked good with the fairly closed system between the collection tube and snap device.

I will update my review once we get the result, and again when the result is confirmed at birth! They will have the result the next day!Īlso good to know: when you first register your test online (don't forget this step), you can put in someone else number and email where your results get sent to if you want it to be a surprise. I mailed the sample out on a Friday via USPS and they receive the sample Monday. We're having a gender reveal this weekend once the results get emailed to my mom tomorrow.
All in all, I think it took me 10-15 start to finish. Also, you can't towel dry your hands you have to air dry so that adds extra time to the same draw. Take your time doing the test though because there are quite a few steps that need to be done correctly! For example, I used the gauze from the biohazard baggie to wipe the blood instead of the pack of gauze it came with. I was expecting maybe a small amount of discomfort when I stuck it into my arm, but I felt nothing at all! It was literally painless. I read comments from others that this product can easily be contaminated with male DNA, so I made sure to take the test by myself in our wiped down and clean bathroom away from all males (this included my husband, my son, and my male cat! Any male DNA can throw off the result so stay away from then during the sample draw). My husband said let's do it and see if it works, so we bought it on Amazon and received it next day. With this being my third child I was used to having to wait until your 18/20 week scan to find out the sex. I saw this product last year but blew it off at first because I thought "there's no way they can know the gender as soon as 6 weeks!". BUY THIS but take the instructions seriously!!!!
